Data Protection Information Sheet (EU Regulation 679/2016)

1. General

3. Collection and processing of personal data

The protection of your personal data is a matter of particular importance to us. Your personal data will therefore only be processed insofar as this is permitted by law and required for the fulfilment of the respective purpose (registration, provision of services, fulfilment of legal obligations and legitimate interests, sending of information material and advertising, sending of a newsletter).

The following personal data are collected and processed for the purpose of providing our services:

  • tax code

Please note that in case you do not give your consent or revoke it during our business relationship, we will not be able to fully provide our services.

  1. In order to be informed about commercial offers, current promotions, TEKU HOTEL services and to be contacted for customer surveys:

  • name
  • postal address
  • mobile phone number
  • email address

In doing so, we use the following communication channels: e-mail, post and SMS.

To inform you about offers and services, we need your consent provided in a Double-Opt-In-form. Without providing us with the data listed above (point 3) and without your consent, we cannot send you any information or contact you about it.

The personal data provided will be processed until consent is revoked.

You may revoke your consent at any time, free of charge and without giving reasons at the hotel reception:

4. Taking pictures inside the hotel

It may happen that we take photos during hotel stays or events and publish them on our website for marketing purposes.

If you do not agree, you can object to this processing and publication at any time at the hotel reception:

5. Video surveillance

For the purposes of public safety, there may be cameras at the hotel entrance, reception, and internal communal areas the footage is not recorded or archived, it is only used for real-time monitoring of entrances

6. Transmission of personal data to third parties

Your personal data are not passed on to third parties, except in the following cases:

  • when we are legally obliged to transmit data on the basis of e.g. criminal law, criminal procedure law, etc.
  • for services outside the hotel area, at your request (e.g. taxis, restaurant reservations, excursions, etc.).
  • in the event of a medical emergency, the data must be forwarded to authorised medical personnel;
  • based on his express written consent.

7. Data processing on behalf of the Manager

Where processing is carried out on behalf of the Data Processor, the Data Processor remains in charge of the protection of the user's personal data.

External Processors are only organised to perform the activities necessary to provide our services, such as booking services, services provided by tourist agencies, tour guides, etc. All External Processors undertake to comply with the applicable data protection regulations. A processing agreement based on Article 28 of the GDPR has been concluded with each External Data Processor.

8. Duration of treatment

We process personal data for the duration of 10 years or for the entire business relationship (from the initiation, performance and termination of a business relationship and until all open requests in connection with the business relationship have been fully satisfied).

The data listed above will be stored and processed until you withdraw your consent to this processing. Withdrawal of consent has no effect on the lawfulness of data processing up to this point.

Upon termination of the business relationship, the data will be archived until the expiry of the guarantee, limitation and compensation periods, as well as until the expiry of legally binding retention periods and the resolution of any legal dispute in which the data is required as evidence.

The data you have provided us with for marketing and information purposes, such as sending a newsletter, are stored until you revoke your consent.

9. Data Security

We are implementing technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction, alteration and unauthorised disclosure in accordance with Article 28 of the General Data Protection Regulation. Security measures are continuously improved in line with technical progress

10. Your rights

With regard to the processing of your data, you may claim the following rights under the General Data Protection Regulation and the National Data Protection Act:

Right of Access

You have the right to obtain confirmation of the processing of personal data concerning you. The confirmation shall contain the purposes of the processing, the categories of personal data concerned, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom the personal data have been or will be disclosed and the duration of the processing.

Right of rectification

You have the right to have inaccurate personal data concerning you corrected and the right to have incomplete personal data completed without undue delay.

Right to cancellation

You have the right to obtain the deletion of personal data concerning you without undue delay when the personal data has been processed unlawfully, when the processing disproportionately interferes with its legitimate interests, when the personal data is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which it was collected and when you withdraw the consent on which the processing was based. Note that there may be reasons that prevent immediate deletion, such as in the case of the legal retention obligation.

You have the right to obtain the restriction of the processing of your data when:

Right to data portability

You have the right to receive personal data concerning you, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format where:

  • we are processing data on the basis of consent given and revocable or for the fulfilment of the contract between us and
  • the processing is carried out by automated means.

Right of opposition

You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to the processing of your personal data that is necessary to safeguard your legitimate interests or the legitimate interests of a third party. Your data will no longer be processed unless there are compelling legitimate grounds for processing that override your interests, rights and freedoms or the processing is necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Right to lodge a complaint
